One of the greates success in the history of the Austrian Baseball Federation was the second place at the U21 European Championship 2014. With this, Austria qualified for the U23 World Cup in Monterrey (MEX). It will be the first baseball world cup for Austria ever. Headcoach Hiro Sakanashi and his coaching staff announced the final roster for the competition between October 28th and November 6th. Austria will face Australia, Nicaragua, Argentina, Chinese Taipei and Japan, starting on October 28th.
